Stockbridge residents are invited to an Open House on Friday, June 2 or Saturday, June 3, at the former Beckwith Estate at 37 Interlaken Road, to learn about development plans for the historic property.
Friday’s Open House takes place 4-7 p.m. and Saturday’s Open House takes place 10 a.m. -1 p.m. The event is intended for Stockbridge residents who were not able to attend the first event in February.
A brief presentation about the plans will take place every hour beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, and at 10 a.m. Saturday. Guests are asked to RSVP by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with their preferred presentation time. Refreshments will be served and there will be opportunities to talk with those involved in the project. Also, the property will be open for walking and exploring.
Plans for 37 Interlaken call for transforming the 1890s “cottage” estate into an “agri-hood” community built around a year-round working farm. A historic inn, houses and condominium/hotel units are proposed for the 320-acre site, most of which would remain undeveloped open space and woodland.
